Some one will always be better than the other especially as technology increases with each era. I like to listen to the " American Horse" Album by Micki Free which he has Cindy Blackmon on the the Drums, and David Santos on the Bass. On this Cd he redid Jimi Hendrix song "Hey Baby / New Rising Sun" and "Voodoo Chile". Now I'm not an music expert but this Cd sounds awesome Cranked up coming out of my tower 15" Cerwin Vegas and my Cerwin Vega Subwoofer! Just saying!!! I grew up listening to Jazz fusion, smooth jazz, funk, R&B, Gospel and Hip Hop. Then I was introduced to Jimi Hendrix and I never heard so much feeling put in to rock/blues music. I new what the difference was from other music, You cant reproduce soul. This Brotha had a soul that is and was not in the the average rock songs that were played on the radio in the 80's and 90's. Everyone has there favorite depending on their type of music, hard or soft rock, metal, blues, funk, classic, etc. I think there are a lot of guys who didn't make the list that should and a couple that made the list that shouldn't be ranked as high as they are. I grew up on rock and metal ( 80's metal ) and have always been a huge fan of AC/DC and Angus Young and think he should be in the top 10 ( not saying #1 I completely agree with Hendrix being in that spot ). But as new artist and groups come on the seen it's just a impossible question to answer cause everyone will always have a reason why their favorite band or guitarist is the best. But I will say to who created the above list good job there are some greats in that list and thanks for taking your time to look all them up with videos and post them for all of us to enjoy.
