While all the songs mentioned on this website’s list are well known, they aren’t considers the best wok of those particular bands/ people and certainly not the top 10 rock songs ever.

The Beatles certainly have broken and held nearly every record in the music industry and influenced many of the other great bands that followed including the Rolling Stones, who are 1 of the greatest bands ever, but wouldn’t be the same if not for trying to be opposite of the Beatles. The Beatles opened the door into America for other great rock bands, so I’d say a Beatles song, especially a record breaking 1 like Hey Jude should be 1st. Some other highly influential and important rock attists that should be in the top 10 :
Elvis Presley
Buddy Holly
Bob Dylan
Rolling Stones
The Eagles ( 1 of the most famous folk-rock bands)
Eric Clapton ( not just Cream)
CCR
The Scorpions ( you don’t hear about sucessful German rock bands much; The U.K. gets all the glory)
Pink Floyd ( very progressive for their time)
The Who
Wings ( it’s hard to be a Beatle then start over and end up outdoing yourself!)
Traveling Wilburys ( 1 epic supergroup of 5 of the greatest rockstars of the 60s)

Of course there are loads more people and bands that are important and should be included- but this is my opinion based on awards, popularity, influence/impact etc.
